Do I need Surround Sound Speakers for DirectDVD?
The answer to that question is no, DirectDVD is designed first for users with just (2) speakers or Headphones.  If you have basic Windows Speakers - get ready for a awesome theater experience.

Are all the Audio Plugins included in the Full Version?
Yes, all the SRS and Additional FX are included in the full version of DirectDVD - you do not have to buy any additional software/products.

What Windows version do I need with DirectDVD?
You will need at least Windows XP/Vista - Both are compatible with DirectDVD

Does DirectDVD Copy DVD Discs?
No, Never has - DirectDVD is not a DVD Copy program (Despite the name of Direct) - DirectDVD is a professional DVD "Player" with Millions of users World Wide!
If you find a DVD Player company online that offers a DVD Player and also has a DVD Copy Program in its product line up - that company is 100% Illegal - avoid them

Is DirectDVD Licensed with MPEG-LA for DVD Content?
Yes, Despite 99% of other DVD players that rip people off with Licenses - DirectDVD is Licensed with MPEG-LA - Check out the License List here - look for (Orion Studios)

Does DirectDVD play Blu-Ray or HD Discs-
If your System supports standard decoders for the playback the answer to that is yes- we are working on the 8 Pro HD edition to include the decoders for Blu-ray!  DirectDVD 8 SE is designed for standard DVD Playback-

What type of Decoders Should I have on my System for DirectDVD?
DirectDVD 8 SE is a special early release of DirectDVD 8 Blu-Ray/HD - and requires that you use the decoders on your system.  If you need decoders we suggest checking your computer manufacturer as DVD Decoders are installed on 90% of the machines out there-
